Stahelski Sees Possibility of Reeves’ Cameo in “John Wick” Prequel Series,”The Continental”
Keanu Reeves fans, especially those of the “John Wick” franchise, are in for a treat.
Reeves is onboard for “The Continental”, a “John Wick” prequel T.V. series created by Chad Stahelski himself.
As the title may have already given it away, the series would focus primarily on The Continental, not John Wick.
As featured in the two films, The Continental is a hotel chain for assassins. These act as safe houses for assassins to recuperate, hide-out and reload their logistics. And as the rules have it, no “business” would be taken care of while within the premises – something that Wick himself had broken.
Reeves is only set to make a cameo as suggested by Stahelski as he confirmed that the series would be tied greatly to the two movies.
To date, no confirmation has been made to solidify Reeves’ involvement in the series. Stahelski, in a reported statement, added that his appearance would probably be made possible should his schedule for the third installment allow him.
Lionsgate plays an active role in the series’ development and are definitely looking ahead with necessitating their assassin-filled universe for the other planned movies within the franchise.
