Final Fantasy XV Finally Got Pinoys Excited For Long Lines!

by Joshua Diokno

ff15_box_japanFrom the processing of government documents to waiting for the next God-forsaken MRT, long lines have been a staple in the lives of Filipinos. But on the 29th of November 2016, the long lines seem to have extended to far happier and cooler reasons. No, it ain’t because of a darned Pinoy TV love team, and no it’s not some reality TV show winner. It’s Final Fantasy XV! It’s been a long-time coming.

And when we say long-time. We mean it. It’s been 7 years since the last Final Fantasy had come out, having every geek and fanatic salivating to get a copy. And the trailers? Yeah, they did a good job. So now every Filipino gamer with a buck to spend had lined up to get their fix. Do we blame them? NO. The high-end visuals alone were enough to secure reservations; that and the gameplay. . .of course.

Almost all Datablitz branches across the metro had been inundated by Filipino gamers to score a copy. Suffice to say, the craze hasn’t died down.

You’d be glad to know that Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV is now out for both PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Stoked? Yeah, we figured.
