Hitman Gets Love from Television Through a Series at Fox 21 and Hulu
Television titans, Fox 21 and Hulu are teaming up to bring a small screen adaptation of the hit (pun intended) video game, Hitman. The pilot script is reported to be penned by Derek Kolstad who took the reins in scripting the mind-numbing action flick, John Wick.
The writer will also serve as the executive producer along with Adrian Askarieh and Chuck Gordon. Bert Salke, Jane Francis, Gloria Fan, and Kira Innes will be overseeing the production over at Fox 21 while Jordan helman will be in charge at Hulu.
Since its launch back in 2000, Hitman had already sold more than 25 million copies. The game follows Agent 47, a cold, calculating, deadly assassin.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Hitman would be recieving love from other forms of media. Released by Fox in 2007 and 2015 are Hitman and Hitman: Agent 47 respectively. The aim of the latter is to weave a story that is closer to the game’s mythology.
To date, two more Hitman games are in the works over at IO Interactive. The most recent, Hitman, had been reported to have sold a total of 7 million copies.
