Defenders…DEFEND! Netflix Gets Our Gears Grinding With “The Defenders” First Poster
The Netflix Marvel TV Universe, while grittier and darker in tone, stitches well into Marvel’s Cinematic Universe with its conscious weaving of plots and narratives and good character development.
Because of this, Marvel fans, comic book reader or not, have been climbing walls since the announcement of Netflix’s “The Defenders”. Whetting their appetite’s even more, Netflix released the show’s first official poster through Entertainment Weekly:
Thrown into the curiosity that is the Midland Circle, Atty. Matthew Murdock, a.k.a Daredevil, Private Investigator Jessica Jones, Luke Cage a.k.a Power Man, and Danny Rand, a.k.a Iron Fist must find their way out of a corridor surrounded by enemies in every turn. Still in an unnamed role, Sigourney Weaver of “Alien” fame is cast as the show’s main antagonist who is characterized as cool, sassy, intelligent and down-right bad-ass.
